How can you not fall under the spell of Frida Kahlo? The artist and her work, of course, but also the strong and free woman with her torments, of course. In this original work of three paintings (also available separately), SoRi has depicted the iconic Frida and two metaphors directly related to her, the Viva la vida Heart and the Skull and Crossbones... but if you take a closer look, you will discover through the omnipresent graphics a much more profound work. You will see events, symbols or emotions linked to the life, work and personality of Frida Kahlo. These graphics, done with Posca acrylic markers on a portrait, the heart and skull painted with acrylic paint, are very much inspired by Keith Haring. The Frida portrait was awarded 2nd prize in the French national competition organised by "La Petite Académie" in April 2020.
Other portraits of female artists will complete Frida's portrait such as Niki de Saint-Phalle, ORLAN, Tamara de Lempika, Dora Maar...
